TechCrunch’s Mike Cernovich recently took to Twitter to explain that AIG has announced a new MP3player, the ZeroMP, that it claims can “deliver superior audio quality to its competitors.”
Cernovich claimed that the Zero MP3 will be “so much better than any MP3 [that] is out there right now.”
This is not true, as ZeroMP will not be able to compete with Spotify, Rdio, Apple Music, and Pandora.
The Zero MP2 will not have the same audio quality as the AIG MP3.
Cernovico went on to say that the MP3 is “a big step forward” and “will revolutionize the way music is consumed.”
While we do not have a firm date for the ZeroMp2, it is likely to be announced before the end of the year.
The company will likely be targeting the holiday shopping season, as Cernoviks tweet suggested.
It is unclear when the Zero Mp2 will launch, though.
It could be a surprise, or it could be just another announcement.
Cercos tweet suggests that the new ZeroMP 2 will be launching in the second half of 2018, while the MP2 launch is expected in the first half of 2019.
